When life gives you oranges...

"So it's been decided that boys are silly & we're all going to fail our next neuro exam. Epp!"... that was my/my roomies mentality a couple of days ago.... today i/ we are doing better.

Neuro has been rough. Mainly because we have a test ever 2 weeks (from mid-March to the end of May), and somehow nobody got nearly enough studying done this weekend....in other news:

Samir and I had our last salsa class last night! sad! We did learn three new moves called "the naughty", "the high step", and something where he lifts me completely off the ground!! it was quite fun and yes, everyone giggled at seeing and then practicing "the naughty" in class (actually a quick and easy move but looks intense and um close haha). But i'm soo glad we took that class! it was sooo fun & helped me to keep my sanity, to remember that i am more than just a medical student. it also made me relax in the rest of my life since in salsa all the woman can do is follow...it has helped me to live in the moment and not always think about whats next.

Theeen, around 11pm I went to cheer on Giulia at our coed intramural soccer game. A bunch of the m2s came out with signs & we had a lot of fun (even though they lost (as did the spurs :( ))

Happy things:
seeing horses eating hay in the morning
ibuprofen
roommates
cookies and cream ice cream
"snook"

post neuro exam 2

I'm going to be sneaking away this Thursday...i am quite excited to be studying on the beach on Friday...

Today (Wed), everyone woke up with allergies! It's so sad! Ben and Mike are nearly drowning but when I spilled tea on my computer Ben gave me some of his towels (tissues) to clean it up! so nice. So I got him some real tissues hahaha

I am quite excited because I just found out I can apply for funds from my medical school to support my trip to Ecuador this summer...yay! (fingers crossed and praying bc that would be awesome!)

I've realized pretty recently that I have been moving waaay fast over the last year. Through major events and people alike. So I told myself to just slow down and live in the moment. Not to be constantly planning what's next but just be happy in now. ...that's going well so far :)
Also, I've realized that I have matured a lot over the past year especially in how I view men and relationships. Interesting stuff.

...oh and by the way, as soon as a girl stops trying, it seems that boys start coming around...not in any strong way but let's just say hugs are nice.

check out these cloud cookies!!

Bueno

p.s. I just have to quickly amend my last post. said ex in that post is dumb. and so i've resolved to act like he doesn't exist...hahahaha things that are much better than silly boys: (although its still fun to chat with the cute ones!)

Having a Global Health meeting a lunch & remembering what an amazing opportunity I have to be a female physician and work to do good(...i have already had waay more opportunities to do whatever i want to do than say a girl born in rural Nepal who is not able to go to school because she has to work the fields and help raise her) siblings

Suturing pig's feet & learning how to set up IVs, NGs tube and urethral catheters!!

Red Wine Sangria Recipe

Tulip Fields!!

p.s. from Animal Review: "Furthermore, when honey bees sting, they release – along with their venom – an alarm pheromone5 called iso-amyl acetate that, curiously, smells like bananas. The pheromone is a chemical signal for other bees to attack. Because if there’s anything killer bees hate more than felt flags, it’s a non-banana that still stinks like a banana. It just makes them completely insane."
