The return of me

Happy Early Wednesday Morning!

Yes, I do know that now it's 11:17am but I had yet another 8am class this morning. And again, I find myself not paying attention to Dr. McLovin... at least he's just reading off the slides.

Look at this beautiful wedding scene!

And this beautiful wedding dress!! don't you just love it?! (no worries, I'm not planning on getting hitched ANY time soon but i just love how pretty it is!)

Those were just two goodies I found at A Cup of Jo today!

Last night, my awesome dude friends extended an invite to Rosa's Mexican restaurant for Taco Tuesdays. It was a blast just hanging out haha...and then I went back to the library to study & realized that I've been trying to make my relationships fit into a box of things that are suppose/ not suppose to happen but it just doesnt work like that in reality. I ran into a certain someone again and we chatted and walking away he gave me the biggest smile, one of those that just says "golly, you're swell" and make me swoon. Darn it.

So i've resigned myself to the fact that i'm just a fool. And that relationships are messy. Life is messy.

But i'm healthy again! (mostly :/) No longer have an upper respiratory infection, now my body is just trying to fight the tree pollen that wants to take root in my nose... now I really should try paying attention. Toodles!

Happy Early Morning Tuesday

Today I had an 8am class. And I am woke up still sick. And slept through my alarm.

But I have some great roomies and classmates. My roomies and I are on a new church-inspired, "be positive" kick so we wrote on our kitchen chalkboard: Happy Early Morning Tuesday! And my classmates have all been looking out for me, offering cough drops & hugs (&still saying how dumb someone was haha!). And some saint stocked our snack room with Gatorade so I have been doing good on my liquid intake (no worries dad!)... and right now I am sitting in lecture, listening to a professor who looks like an old McLovin talk about immunological hypersensitivity (mainly aka allergies)...

This morning we had two hours of Pediatrics and now it's two hours of Immunology! Which I actually really like :) and classes end today at noon so yay! When I should be paying attention to what McLovin' is saying, instead I've found these goodies online:

I'm applying to the Texas Pediatrics preceptorship program! yay! (nothing to look at here but i just had to share)

I sooo want to make these toffee bars ! They look delicious & they come from a site called Night Baking, which is something that is always fun to do!

and oh my goodness, look at how cute this scrapbooking is from Maggie Holmes

It's starting to get a bit warmer here in Texas (yay!) & I can't stop thinking about wearing a yellow dress. or going on a bike ride. or having a picnic in the grass. You know with aaaaall my ample time haha!

the value of my phalanges

i would give my right arm for a guster concert right now.
okay maybe my left. but seriously, i'm in need of some bongo-induced tlc and someone who will tell me exactly what i want to hear. okay maybe like my left pinkie finger..i kinda need the rest. baking would be a reeeeal pain without them.

It turns out med school really is my whole life. And it gets jealous of me spending time with others. This doctoring thing better be something else because its sure taking everything i have.

On the other hand, I super love going to mass at St. Mary's. I was having a tough time Sunday night when I found myself waiting in the pews for the 7 o'clock mass. And then it just hit me, I know that God has a plan, an amazing plan that is better than anything I could even dream of. And I just need to trust in that.
...and it was kinda eerie, because that turned out to be the message of the entire mass. That was comforting.

Maybe I need to get a dog. Thank goodness for my roomies (& their dogs)!

but for now I'll just be listening to lots of Guster and eating
lots of chocolate and ice cream. and then running alot for all that ice cream and chocolate haha...but at least its not pasta.
