Happy March 1st!
Yay for the new month!
It crept up so quickly although I did see it start early this morning...last night I met up with my friends at Sushi Zushi, where we shared our scrumptious sushi <3 Then we went back to my house to play some board games...just "the game of things" like the past few weeks because it is just that hilarious...at least we have waaay to much fun coming up with adult-themed answers to the prompts haha! After Regina and Lesy left, I went with the guys to Mama Margie's up the road until about 1am. It was fun. So I tried to make the dino cookies. Good news: they tasted fabulous, according to all of my friends who ate them up! Bad news: the royal icing was too thick :( Regina suggested using buttercream icing though. My mom came to the rescue and helped me to add m&m eyes and fun sprinkles/ frosting...yay mom :) Here are few pics:

So lately every Sunday, I find myself struggling with reconciling my faith w/ what I am learning about the world. I do believe in God but it's been harder for me to believe that we were made in the image of God... this idea just seems like it was born out of a time when we thought Earth was unique, maybe special at the center of the universe. But today, "Science" (I'm a Biology major so I get to capitalize/quote that) says that there are billions of galaxies that exist, and no center to the universe. Specifically... Nasa: "in 1999 the Hubble Space Telescope estimated that there were 125 billion galaxies in the universe, and recently with the new camera HST has observed 3,000 visible galaxies, which is twice as much as they observed before with the old camera. We're emphasizing "visible" because observations with radio telescopes, infrared cameras, x-ray cameras, etc. would detect other galaxies that are not detected by Hubble."
So if there are so many other galaxies/planets out there, there quite possibly is other life out there...Do they look like us? Do they believe in God? (if they are more than mircobes)... did Jesus saved them too? Why would we be special out of billions?!...just some of the questions that I've been toying with lately....if you can't tell by now, this has kind of become my journal since I don't do nearly as much writing as I should.

Growing
Growing up I just couldn't wait to fall in love and get married & have a family... and up until a few days ago I was still kinda in a rush. But then I realized, as much as I love kids and the idea of that future, I am only 22! First off I wan to be a doctor more than a mom right now, and as a doctor I will be able to provide for myself/ kids better. So I am hoping to become a pediatrician in the mean time & get to work with kids :) Secondly, I have soo much life ahead of me (hopefully) that maybe I can just be myself for a while. Maybe I need to go away for medical school, to get to know myself better & to be a better student....just maybe... but no matter where I end up in a few months or a few years, right now I want to scrapbook/ photograph all of the love that surrounds me! Like this:

(Don't worry I don't think donuts = love but it was just fun)

I'm working on scrapbooking more but right now I'm at 2 hours every Sunday night... p.s. I'm going to bake some dino cookies tomorrow so be on the look-out for those pics coming soon! yay!
